Huizingen Provincial Domain

At the southern edge of Dworp begins the Hallerbos. In spring the ground there is covered by thousands of wild hyacinths. We also come across the same delicate flowers in the wood in the Provincial Domain in Huizingen. But there is a lot more greenery, in the rock garden that has been laid out in these former castle grounds, with hundreds of bushes, shrubs and plants. From early spring to late summer there is always at least one plant that has adorned itself with flowers. But it is always the azaleas in the month of May that provide an unforgettable palette of colors and scents. Plants that stimulate the sens of smell or are particularly recognizable to blind and partially blind people by means of their tangible form have been selected and assembled in a Blind Garden.

The Provincial Domain in Huizingen provides its visitors with other recreational opportunities.
As well as walking and looking at the gardens. We can row a boat on the castle lake or play a round of mini-golf, for the children there are three playgrounds and a lot more.
