| HERISEM MILL: The Herisem Mill is a 19th century cardboard factory which started life in the 16th century as a paper mill. After fifty years of inactivity, the waterwheels and restored steam engine are once again driving the 19th century cardboard-making machines. Today the Herisem Mill is an educational museum showing traditional paper and cardboard-making techniques as well as machine drive technology. Handmade paper is once again being produced. Part of the smithy has been turn into a tavern. |
