Castle

Beersel is part of that area of Flemish Brabant situated between the southern rim of the Brussels conurbation and Walloon Brabant. The area is bounded to the west by the valley of the Zenne. In this valley the lord of Beersel built his castle.
This moated stronghold, with its towers and walls provided with embrasures and ditches, is an example of medieval military architecture. There are no elaborately decorated interiors here.
